The main function of the UK Sales Manager role is to achieve mutually agreed Business Unit and Company Goals by managing a field based sales team. To assure that effective customer relationships are built and maintained which will maximize sales of defined products and services of Roche Diagnostics.
To lead and direct team to achievement of business goals, implementation of business strategy and create a team environment. To coach and develop all direct reports. To input directly into high value sales opportunities with key decision makers to ensure the complex sales environment is matched off appropriately. To be accountable for all elements, technical, financial and legal of the tendered sales proposal for accounts within the Region.
Specific Responsibilities include:
* Plan and implement actions to achieve agreed business objectives.
* Input into the preparation off and implement the annual Business Plan achieving sales targets set through implementing strategies achieving maximum growth and profit for Roche Diagnostics
* Gather and seek out information about customers, competitors and the market and ensure it is communicated appropriately team and marketing teams and those records are up to date - consolidated for the region of responsibility.
* Prepare and communicate accurate forecasts to enable the business to plan effectively for the responsible region.
Please note that this role covers the whole of the UK excluding Northern Ireland.
Essential criteria for the role includes:
* Knowledge of best practice in Laboratories (Histology) and the environmental drivers currently upon the pathology market (NHS) and the Private market.
* A successful track record in complex sales processes, as well as Sales Management experience and a proven track record of Line Management experience is non-negotiable.
* Experience in reading sales figures, understanding the contents, generating the right questions, drilling deeper into understanding the sales patterns and developing a POA self / with team is imperative.
* Successful experience of tendering process with a full understanding of timescales and terminology used.
* If you are self motivated, focused and methodical. Have the ability to work alone yet readily communicate and share knowledge team. Be able to turn strategy into actionable implementation. If your flexible and adaptable, have excellent negotiating skills.
* A professional approach to business, good presentation skills
