Global Director Medical Affairs Antibiotics €140, 000 to €200, 000 Pack

BACKGROUND

With approximately 20% of their sales being invested in research, they are dedicated to building a strong presence in this most challenging of areas where a high level of unmet medical needs exist.

They are looking for an experienced Director of Medical Affairs to support these exciting new developments across Europe.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Provide medical leadership to commercial activities for the Oncology franchise including the planning, preparation and approval of

o strategic business plans and associated medical affairs plans
o internal and external scientific product presentations
o publication plan development and implementation
o external meetings, advisory boards and symposia
o promotional and scientific materials

Work with Brand teams on development of Brand strategies for key/core products

Contributes to the strategic positioning of products across Europe

Provide coaching and guidance to the Medical Affairs specialists.

Provide medical input to training materials and delivery of events to ensure accuracy of content.

Prepares the medical and scientific evidence together with a sound business case to communicate the benefits of product portfolio to the market and manage advisory boards effectively.

Contributes to the process of regulatory review and approval across the region

Provide advice across the company on medical, regulatory and clinical matters and activities relating to assigned product portfolio.

Support the Director in the development, conduct and reporting of Phase IIIb and IV clinical trials so that the trial therapeutic area study programme can be accomplished expeditiously and effectively.

Advise clinical trials teams relating to the most high impact and complex cases.

Contribute to the research and development priorities relating to the infectious disease area with an impact across the region

Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with external key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, government authorities, funding bodies and other entities

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Medical Degree (MD) with demonstrated record of accomplishment in pharmaceutical industry Medical Affairs with key focus to antibiotics. Out of Country launches and line management experience.
