Unique opportunity for a Pharmacist or Medic with commercial acumen to join a Pharmaceutical Company as Scientific Advisor, which in time will develop to Head of Business Development. You’ll require outstanding communication and relationship building skills and have a commercial background in industry coupled with the relevant final signatory academic status.
Specialist Pharmaceutical Company based in Cambridge
Opportunity for a pharmacist / medic with medical affairs / medical information / industry commercial experience to train to become medical final signatory and potentially lead the Business Development team in the UK and a further EU region.
Potential future opportunity to be regionally based
Provide medical/ scientific input to the business development team looking into new assets that the company are targeting in the UK, Ireland and Northern Europe (covering Scandinavia and Benelux) within primary and secondary care and branded generics.
Assist the other medical affairs teams in both primary and secondary care settings covering a wide range of therapy areas.
Having a strong understanding of the NHS commercial and financing systems
Working cross functionally in collaboration with the local affiliates around the region. Including business analytics, market access and the commercial teams
Contribute to the continuous development and implementation of medical processes and working practices in line with business needs.
Work with the Compliance function to support the development of effective processes to ensure compliance with the ABPI Code of Practice and other relevant legislation which meet the needs of the business
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Pharmacist / Medic required due to final signatory element. A Final Signatory pharmacist or significant experience of the PMCPA Code of Practice desirable.
Role would suit a pharmacist/ medic with commercial experience within pharmaceutical industry looking for a role within Medical Affairs.
Strong cross functional working experience required
Practical experience of using Zinc or a similar system desirable
A sound understanding of financial principles and budget planning/control desirable
Strong understanding of the NHS and its commercial drivers.
