Jobs boom in the Indian pharma market
In the midst of a lot of bad news in the pharmaceutical jobs market – with an estimated 53,000 jobs cut by multinationals alone so far in 2009 (double the level for the whole of 2008) – it was interesting to see the contrast over in India. Reports suggest that the level of hiring has increased five-fold, with vacancies growing in all disciplines, but particularly in Marketing and Sales, where Pfizer, Astra Zeneca and MSD Pharma have been particularly active.
