emedcareeers and Profesia have formed a partnership to develop the online recruitment business for the Eastern European Biopharmaceutical and Medical Device Industries.

Eastern European Reach
Vacancies in Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic posted on emedcareers will now also be advertised on Profesia’s leading Eastern European sites which have an impressive audience of 25M web users:
profesia.cz
profesia.sk
workania.hu
Profesia and emedcareers are both subsidiaries of the Daily Mail and General Trust (DMGT), a highly successful media company operating in over 40 countries worldwide.
This partnership increases our effectiveness as a pan-European job site providing a larger audience for recruiters and providing job seekers more opportunities in Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
This latest development follows the launch of French and German landing pages earlier in 2011 to further extend our reach across Europe.
In this more social and online orientated society, recruiters often ‘Google’ job seekers or search various social networking sites to gain a more holistic view of a candidate and how they would ‘fit’ within the recruiting company.
Creating an online profile can dramatically enhance your job hunting and career prospects.
Twitter allows you to post updates on all things you find interesting or worthy of comment. This provides you with an online personality and gives you the opportunity to share your thoughts and opinions about the latest developments in the biopharma or medtech industries.
LinkedIn is the global professional social network allowing you to build connections from your industry sector. The site allows you to showcase the experience you’ve built up during your career in addition to providing you with the opportunity to network in groups which are relevant to your field, experience and interests. You also have the ability to show recommendations from colleagues and clients.
emedcareers now provides an optional new tool to assist you communicating more relevant information about yourself other than that contained in your 1-2 page CV/Resume.
When you apply for a job on emedcareers, you can now add links to your Twitter and LinkedIn profiles. Simply visit My emedcareers page and ‘Add or Update your social network setting link’

You will then be able to save links to social media networks in which you participate.

It is optional to include these links to these sites with your applications. Your Twitter account may have more personal musings and not bare any relevance to your career or job search and so therefore you may not wish to highlight it.
At emedcareers we are actively engaged with various social networking sites and we will shortly be launching our own Professional LinkedIn Group to discuss careers progression and the latest news from the Biotech, Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Job markets.

During the last year mobile traffic to emedcareers has increased by over 245% with visits from mobile now representing over 7% of our total visits.
The growth in mobile traffic is due to the privacy, convenience and immediacy smart phones offer jobseekers and this trend is set to continue.
Apple’s iphone was the catalyst of the mobile market explosion and but now other manufacturers are entering the market due to increased consumer demand.
